The battery in this inflator is a standard 7 AHr sealed lead-acid battery.
The battery must be charged after each use.
Lead-acid batteries are subject to loss of capacity and permanent damage if they are left in a discharged condition. A dead battery which is no longer able to take a charge because it has not been properly maintained is not covered by warranty.
If not used for long periods the battery should be topped off each 3 - 6 months.
It is not recommended to use the pump until the battery is completely flat if possible as this will accelerate the batteries degradation.
Note that the ability in the older models to connect to an external battery has been discontinued.
