Self Bailing Whitewater Rafts

  • Model G25 Otaki and G29 Waipawa Whitewater Inflatable Raft Originally designed as roll-up yacht tenders, the Gull G25 and G29 inflatable rafts have been fitted with armored undersides and true Incept self bailing floors. These amazingly fun inflatable rafts on Class 3 rivers are tough, good performers and very stable in cross flows. The G25S and G29S inflatable rafts are ideal for 2 and 3 persons with or without camping gear, and very suitable for exploring river headwaters. Small enough to be back-packable, the size of the Gull rafts makes Class 3 rapids as exciting as bigger rapids in bigger rafts. Conventional "bucket" floors are optional. G29 inflatable thwart(s) are optional.

The Incept W33S inflatable raft is light and easy to handle, designed as suitable for rapids of difficulty of Class 3 (can handle bigger rapids subject to guide experience).

This inflatable raft is popular for headwater floats carrying expedition gear and three adults.

  • Model R40S Sprinter Whitewater Inflatable Raft The R40 inflatable raft is designed for racing at the request of our Japanese clients. This fast raft design has a high floor, adjustable thwarts and a relatively long water line. This makes for a fast, straight tracking inflatable raft which experienced paddlers can manoeuvre well. The R40 inflatable fast raft design racer is not suitable for commercial or normal recreational use as it is made of lighter materials and has very little protection against punctures and wear.

Expedition Grade Whitewater Rafts

  • Model W38SX Motu Whitewater Inflatable Raft is a 12’ 6” square-back self-bailer, the small brother to the successful W46S. It is a 6-person raft well suited to private boaters and to outfitters on smaller rivers. It works equally well as an oar rig or paddle boat and is used commercially in many parts of the world.  The W38 will reward your choice with snappy performance and easy paddling or rowing - it is fast, easy turning and stable in extreme conditions.

  • Model W39S Tongariro Whitewater Inflatable Raft like all Incept self-bailing rafts, has a carefully rockered floor and smooth sandflap attachments to the sponson. The reduction in underwater drag, especially in cross-flows, gives this boat outstanding stability and the ability to safely take lines in rapids previously not considered wise or possible.  Extraordinarily tough, the W39S is available in ORCA Tech™ Polyurethane (W39SU) or Polyurethane Alloy (W39SX), both models with the same Polyurethane floor.

  • Model W43SX Wairoa Whitewater Inflatable Raft double-ended self-bailer is the small brother to the successful W50S. It is an 8-person raft well suited to the private boater and to outfitters on smaller and technical rivers. It works equally well as an oar rig or as a paddle boat and is in use commercially and privately.  The W43 will repay your choice with snappy performance and easy paddling or rowing - it is fast, easy turning and very stable in extreme conditions. It is roomy enough to take 36” boxes in the oar rigs.

  • Model W44SX Kaituna Whitewater Inflatable Raft Related to the popular Incept W46S, this inflatable raft is shorter, has the same internal width and has larger tubes. The W44S is extremely stable in big water yet has the manoeuvrability of a 14 foot raft and the advantages of the "Square Back" design.
When used as a paddle boat the Square Back design lets the guide sit closer to the water giving better control. The longer bow allows the raft to punch through holes and yet maintain ease of control. Relative to the waterline, the crew weight is set a little further back which makes the boat handling superior over drops.

  • Model W46SX Rangitikei Whitewater Inflatable Raft is good looking and very popular for its square-back design and self-bailing foot which are features developed for New Zealand outfitters running day trips on Class V rocky technical rivers. This was the first true Incept commercial raft design, circa 1990, and it has remained the perennial favorite in New Zealand and around the world.  This square-back raft has a longer waterline, is fast, tracks very well and is easy to maneuver both as a paddle boat and as an oar rig. It has outstanding carry-through in holes and stoppers and with the crew weight being back of center, it handles drops well.

  • Model W50SX Kawharau Whitewater Inflatable Raft is a larger raft designed for high volume rivers.  With it's large payload and surprising agility it is a natural choice for commercial outfitters. Used as a paddle boat with thwarts, or an oar-rig without thwarts, the W50 will repay your choice with predictably good performance and ease of paddling or rowing - it is fast, easy turning, stable in extreme conditions and has good carry-through in holes and stoppers.

  • Model W55SX Clutha Whitewater Inflatable Raft American clients wanted a large inflatable raft "gear" boat that would double as a paddle raft and the W55S was born. With big tubes, a huge load carrying capacity, and with it's ease of manoeuvrability clearly maintaining Incept's reputation for well performing inflatable rafts, the W55S is the high capacity inflatable raft for large volume rivers, big loads and lots of riders.
